    • 1). Place the end of the measuring tape into the 5-gallon bucket, measure 2 inches from the very bottom, and mark with the marker. Measure 2 inches from the first mark and mark again. Repeat until you have a total of five marks.

    • 2). Pour paint into the 5-gallon bucket until it reaches the first line you made with the marker. You should have 2 inches of paint now in the bucket.

    • 3). Pour the glaze into the bucket until it reaches the last mark you made at the 10-inch line, then stir with the paint stirring stick. Continue to stir the paint and glaze until you have the consistency mixture you want for your particular project. This will give you a four-to-one ratio of glaze to paint.

    • 4). Apply a small bit of the paint and glaze mixture onto a scrap piece of cardboard to verify that you have reached the consistency and translucency your project requires.
