How to Pass a Visa Interview
- 1). Read over your National Visa Center (NVC) interview notification and note the date, time and place of your interview. It is crucial that you are there on time with all of the necessary documents.
- 2). Get ready for your medical examination by selecting an approved physician and making an appointment.
- 3). Get two color photographs taken of you. These are the same as passport pictures and can be taken at the photo center of most pharmacies.
- 4). Get all of the required original documents together to bring to the interview. These include your appointment letter, birth certificate, passport, evidence of assets. It also includes any court, prison and military records, and color photographs. It's not necessary to bring documents that have already been submitted to the NVC.
- 5). Study the U.S. embassy/consulate general-specific interview guidelines. These are specific to your country of origin and outline all security information you should know about your interview location.
- 6). Study the important visa interview notices. These are tips concerning what to do, and what not to do during the interview, and what to expect in the interview.
