Experiencing God

103 11
How do you experience God? He cannot be seen or heard.
You have to know who God is before you can be aware that he exists and that you are in his presence.
The best place to start is in the words of the Bible.
The New Testament explains that everyone is a sinner and how you can be saved.
When you read about Jesus and what he did on earth, you are examining his Father, and the Holy Spirit also.
They are the same.
Jesus disregarded his personal needs to finish the job he came for.
He healed the sick and gave sight to the blind.
He treated everyone with respect.
He did not condemn the woman taken in adultery, but simply informed her to sin no more.
Reading about the promises God has for the righteous staggers your imagination.
What really turns you on is his great love.
He loved the world so much that he sent his son to die to forgive the sins of everyone that believes.
He offers to forgive your sins as a free gift just for accepting it.
He lavishes us with blessings because that is his nature.
When you study the Bible and speak to him regularly in prayer, you have a relationship with him.
There is no set way to pray.
Talk to him like you do to your other friends.
Tell him your dreams, your frustrations and other things on your mind.
Since Jesus is our mediator, we must pray in his name.
The Spirit of God and Christ lives in every Christian.
They know of your every need.
Worshiping him at church or at home is simply praising and thanking him for your salvation and for his blessings.
Experiencing God is believing in him so much that you have no doubt of his existence.
Faith comes from hearing or reading the word of God.
If you just read it once in a while, it seems like a fairy tale.
When you read it often, it becomes real.
The Spirit of God and Jesus does not physically touch our bodies, but having the Biblical knowledge that they are inside us, we can feel deeply in our heart that they are.
Besides physical touch, feeling is the overall quality of awareness, conscious recognition, sense, opinion, belief, and capacity to respond emotionally.
The fruit of the spirit in our life is proof that Divinity is indeed present (Gal 5:22).
We experience it in several ways: When you are overcome with emotion because of all the trouble the Lord has gone to provide your salvation, you have experienced him.
When you marvel at his power wisdom and love, you have experienced him.
When you have been comforted by him in prayer, you have experienced him.
When a verse of Scripture touches your heart, and practically jumps off the page, you have experienced his truth.
Experiencing God is a spiritual encounter.
Knowing that he created you a unique individual, with everything you need in life makes you want to praise him.
You were lost, with no hope and headed for eternal destruction, and he offered you a full pardon free of charge.
The fool has said in his heart that there is no God.
You, on the other hand, have experienced him and you know he is real.
You know that his nature is love and you can feel it.
He has promised to make your life turn out right.
What else matters? If you have doubts, examine everything he has done for you.
It can turn a pessimist into an optimist.
It can make a sinner righteous!
