How to Carry Eggs in a Basket
- 1). Place a layer, at least one inch thick, of fake grass, straw, crumbled newspaper or packing peanuts at the bottom of the basket.
- 2). Add the eggs, one by one, and more of the cushioning material. Eggs should be placed on their sides. Add enough material so the eggs do not bump against each other --this is especially important if the eggs are raw, but you should also do it for boiled eggs so the shell does not crack.
- 3). Carry the basket level, and not tilted, so the eggs do not move around.
