How to Take Out a Bad Smell
- 1). Determine the source of the smell. Search around your house for signs of pet soil, rotten food or dead animals.
- 2). Remove the contaminant and thoroughly clean the area with warm water and soap.
- 3). Air out the room by opening doors and windows. Invite fresh air into the room by using a fan or small ventilator.
- 4). Mix 2 parts vinegar with 3 parts water. Pour the solution into your empty spray bottle. Instead of buying one, you can recycle old perfume or body spray bottles instead.
- 5). Spray the smelly area with the vinegar solution. Let the solution stay on the surface for at least 10 minutes before wiping it dry.
