Charles W. Westgate Scholarships in Engineering

• This merit-based scholarship covers full tuition and provides a stipend for living expenses for four years of undergraduate study, the Johns Hopkins Merit-Based Scholarship website says. Incoming freshmen who plan to major in engineering may apply. Applicants must be enrolled in the G. W. C. Whiting School of Engineering for the duration of the scholarship, and maintain at least a 3.0, according to the website. • The Hodson-Gilliam Success Scholarship goes to incoming minority freshmen who have demonstrated academic excellence, says the Johns Hopkins Need-Based Scholarships website.
