Instructions

• 1). Visit the Ning website listed below in the resources section.
  
  
• 2). Enter the name of your networking site on Ning home page. For instance, if you are starting a networking site for people who have an interest in needlepoint, you may want to name your network, "The Needlepoint Ladies Club," or something catchy that describes exactly what your networking site is.
  
  
• 3). Put in your Ning website address. Ning will add the extension .ning.com to the end of whatever name you choose. For instance, if you name your site The Needlepoint Ladies Club, your Ning website address will be TheNeedlepointLadiesClub.ning.com.
  
  
• 4). Click on the "Create" button to be taken to the next screen that will ask for your name, email address, password, and date of birth.
  
  
• 5). Make sure you read the terms of service and the privacy notice. After you have read the appropriate documents, then click on "sign up." You will then be taken to a page that asks you to verify your email address.
  
  
• 6). Click on the confirmation link in the email message that you will receive from Ning. When you click on the email link to confirm your email address, this link will take you to your setup page.
  
  
• 7). Use Ning's drag and drop interface to set up your network. You can add a forum, groups, a blog, chat features, music, photos, videos, events, ads, badges for members, and other features. Ning has many configuration options, including custom color selections.
  
  
• 8). Click the launch button to create your new social networking site.
