All good Aion Spiritmaster leveling guides will confirm that Spiritmasters' path can be a testing one, the most dominant feature of this great class is unique ability to summon many creatures of the elements, from which most of the Spiritmasters power derives.
When you begin life in Atriea as a Mage, you will not encounter the Spiritmaster, but with every level you attain, your quest will expand, your abilities will grow and you will find yourself one step closer to attaining the status of Spiritmaster.
SpiritMaster Weapon Choice.
Used by the Spiritmaster are either a choice of Book or Orb, the choice really does very much depend on your own individual play style.
The Orb turns into a melee weapon when you run out of mana which in turn means you have to melee fight, a Book allows an auto spell shoot so when out of mana you are still able to keep range, although the book's auto spell doesn't hit as hard as the Orb's melee attack.
Great at Soloing.
Solo play is very much the Spiritmasters domain, with the summoned pets they are able to cope with any eventuality.
The summoned pets come in 4 different categories, Fire Spirit for melee offensive, Water Spirit for magical ranged offensive, Wind Spirit for magical melee offensive and finally Earth Spirit for a tanking role.
We also get a Divine skill to summon one final pet at level 50 the Tempest spirit (Asmondians get the Magma Spirit).
The summoned Tempest pet is currently a hybrid pet.
It can assume the abilities and qualities of the Water and Wind Spirits.
With the ability to deliver more damage than either the Water or Wind spirits by themselves, plus a boost to defence and health points, the Tempest becomes a pet with a wide range of skills that combine with speed and agility and great stunning abilities that include: * Pet buff is an ability that grants 20% physical attack critical hit.
* Damaging skill that now crashes players out of flight and stuns them * A group buff for any character within 15m of the pet will have increased physical accuracy by 100, and can also Dodge by 200, Magical Accuracy by 100 and Magical Resist by 200for 30 sec.
Spiritmaster Professions.
I recommend a good Aion spiritmaster leveling guide for detailed information on professions however I decided to go for Tailoring to allow myself to craft armor, as the crafted armors in Aion are generally superior to any you might gain from quest rewards or world drops and secondly i decided to take Alchemy to be able to craft my own Books (my weapon of choice) and Orbs.
The potions from alchemy are also invaluable especially the additional flight time pots when extracting aether! Any potions you acquire on the way will only help you level your Spiritmaster.
Knowing Exactly Which Areas To Quest in, Which Quests To Take, and Which You Should Avoid.
