Use XBRL convert software. Examples include Spreadsheet HTML, Altova StyleVision and Altova MapForce. Download the file to your desktop.

Double-click the file. Follow the instructions for proper installation. Save the file to a newly created folder on your computer’s hard drive. Restart your computer.

Click “Start” and “All Programs.” Locate the XBRL convert software. Click on it to launch it.

Select “Browse” in the software’s interface. Locate the XBRL file in your computer’s list of programs and files.

Choose which spreadsheet extension to which you want to convert the file. Press the “Convert” button when satisfied.

Select where you want to save the converted file. Click the “X” to exit out of the program.

Click “Start” and “All Programs.” Open your spreadsheet program. Click “Open” or “Download” from the file menu. Select the converted file to open it in your spreadsheet program.
