Infants will always require extra attention than older children and infant daycare will provide this special care and meet the needs of the infant as expected by the parents, therefore the working parent will feel comfortable as they leave their child in the hands of the nurse.
The infant nurse is responsible for the feeding of the baby which should be nutritious and healthy food which will be given by use of sterilized feeding bottles.
The infant daycare nurse will also clean the baby, wash the clothes and put them out to dry, clean the baby's sleeping area making sure that no dirt accumulate at any place therefore the safety and health of the baby is well taken care of.
The infant nurse is also expected to make sure that the child is at the best of health and if not should react accordingly and take the baby for check up.
Infant Daycare will not only be restricted to the house but the nurse will also take the baby outside for fresh air but not for a long time due the baby's health at this tender age.
However these duties are more the same as for a trained nanny.
The difference would only be that a nanny is employed on a long term basis will an infant nurse is for a set period of time which may vary.
It maybe for a long period or short period of time depending on the agreed schedule with the parents of the child.
