Building a Successful Home Business is Not Instant "Easy Street", Success Comes From "
I read a report recently on the high number of small business that have failed over a 6 year period.
The reasons for failure can be vast.
I feel the main reason for lack of success for many, is that the business owner has under-estimated the effort, money and/or time involved.
Especially, how often I have heard from "retired" business owners that they expected success to come quickly! They have read about others who were on "Easy Street" quickly and seemingly without little effort.
Occasionally some do achieve instant success, but be honest; the majority have had to take time and effort to become successful.
I have been in businesses for many years.
Some I started to get going and sell on, others to fill in time for example, selling Life Insurance while working around my family's needs.
Occasionally though I have started in a business and found for various reasons I was not comfortable with the company, products or time required.
Each time when I finished with a business, I never felt I had failed.
Starting your own business can be a scary and exciting prospect.
Building a business takes time, effort, determination and persistence.
Sometimes what seemed like a great idea at the beginning when executed is a flop.
Well if you think it is still a great idea, rethink your angle and change direction.
Get help when you need it.
Read books, go to seminars.
We don't need to learn the lessons ourselves.
Take a deep breath and focus on the solution not the problem.
Keep calm, practise self control and focus on a way forward.

Having a business at home sounds so simple.
In reality it is hard work.
You need to develop "Stick ability".
I have worked for others, worked away from home and at home and I can confirm that working from home is by far the hardest.
There is really only you.
So be strong with your self talk and self believe.
Focus on your plan everyday.
Do the main tasks first and do whatever you can everyday.
Be proud of what you have achieved each day.
There is no-one else there usually to see you do this work so finish your work time on a positive note.
