103 2
Your welcome email has arrived! Time to get that cart up and running.
1) SAVE that email! Print it and put a copy somewhere safe.
You may need to refer to it later.
2) Login to your new Hyena Cart vendor pages.
The "vendor pages" are the area where you will setup your store and stock your products.
Start by logging in with the link, username, and password that arrived in your welcome email.
3) Setup your "Store Settings.
"
Under "Store Settings" on the menu, choose "Profile Page.
" Here is where you will setup your basic store profile including your password, business name, etc.
Setup this page when you have time and can relax as you go through it.
You'll be glad you did later, because things will work properly if you take time to set up this page properly.
Fill in each box as you go down the page.
Some notes to help you are below.
READ THE RED TEXT.
Really.
You need to know what each box does and that RED text on the page will tell you.
And be sure to click the "Update Config" button at the bottom of the page to save your changes any time you make edits.
Here's how to fill in five of the most important settings: Email Address: The email address that order notifications and contact emails will reach you at.
PayPal Address: The email address on your PayPal account.
Shipping Cost: If you want flat rate shipping, enter it here.
Otherwise leave blank.
Product Type: In this drop down choose your main product type.
This drop down determines where you are listed on the main Hyena Cart shopping pages.
If you leave it blank you won't be listed by category.
If you stock more than one type of product you can change this category as often as you'd like, but you can only be listed in one category at a time.
Intro/Main Page Header & Counter Code/Main Page Footer: These two boxes are used to customize your store with HTML code.
Important note - do not put a form in the top field, it may mess with your cart's code and cause people to not to be able to put things in their cart.
Also, be sure that ALL your links are closed in the header, or again people won't be able to put things in their cart.
Your code in this box absolutely must be clean and standards compliant or it will cause issues.
If you don't know HTML, you can use the free templates included on the page, purchase a premade template, or hire a designer.
