How to Make a Stacked Diaper Cake
- 1). Roll the diapers individually and secure them with a small rubber band. Make sure the rubber band is tight enough to hold the diaper roll together. Do your best to make your rolls the same size. Your diaper cake will look neater if you make your rolls approximately the same height and thickness.
- 2). Place the 8 oz. baby bottle in the middle of the cake plate and neatly arrange a circle of diapers around the bottom half of the bottle. Place your rolls side by side so none of the bottle is showing. Secure your diapers to the baby bottle with a large rubber band.
- 3). Make a second ring of diapers around the first ring. This ring will be slightly bigger and use more diaper rolls. Use a rubber band to hold it around the first ring.
- 4). Arrange the last ring of diapers around the second one. Secure this ring in place with a piece of ribbon that is long enough to fit around it and tie in a bow.
- 5). Construct a second tier of rolled diapers around the top of the shampoo bottle. This tier should be on top of the first three layers of diapers. Hold this ring of diapers to the bottle with a rubber band.
- 6). Make a second ring of diapers around the first ring of the second tier. Secure this ring with a ribbon and tie it in a bow.
- 7). Place the 6 oz. baby bottle on a table and make one ring around it. Tie it to the bottle with a piece of ribbon. This is your top tier. Place it on top of the second tier.
- 8). Decorate the stacked diaper cake by placing the small baby items around the sides and tops of the layers. Use items such as pacifiers, teething rings and baby nail clippers. You can tuck the items between ribbons or use safety pins to pin them on.
