The 5 Things You Must Do to Become a Complete and Total Affiliate Marketing Failure

103 7
It's apparent that more people fail at affiliate marketing than succeed.
Why is that? This is an industry that is open to just about anyone.
There are very few geographic limitations and there is no education or financial requirements.
So why then is it that the vast majority of affiliate marketers give up and go looking else where.
Well the reasons are many, but here are five that you may want to examine and see if you fall victim to any of them.
1) Not having a Plan of Action If you are not working with an affiliate marketing plan, then your results will most likely be abysmal or a complete failure.
There are always going to be exceptions to the rule, but on the whole, if you want to succeed in affiliate marketing make sure you have a action plan that you actually follow.
2) Distracted by Shiny Things For the longest while I was a victim of this "internet failure story".
My eyes would widen at the next offer to come along, promising instant riches with just a virtual press of "ctrl-alt-del".
Don't get me wrong, there are many really good affiliate marketing products out there, but many people will not achieve any degree of success with them because they will fall prey to this next trait.
3) Failure to See Things Through The fact is there are many, many ways to make money online and affiliate marketing is just one of them.
The problem comes when people make a feeble attempt with a system and give up before they have seen any real success.
Successfully making money online in affiliate marketing does do not happen over night.
It takes time, so don't give up and move on before you have really given it a go.
4) Spread too thin There are augments for and against focusing on a very specific and narrow industry versus spreading yourself and your risk in a whole range of niches.
The problem with spreading yourself all over the place, at least in the "empty pocket" days, is you just won't have enough time to do justice to any given project.
My own experience has shown that I did far better with my initial results by putting all for efforts into a very narrow project range and seeing real results from these efforts before moving onto something else.
5) Flogging a Dead Horse In case the above statement doesn't make any sense to you, I'm basically saying that you should make sure that you are not promoting something for which there is no real market.
In other words don't promote products that you "think" will sell well, but turn out not to.
(Figuring this part out is a subject all to itself).
If you are not working in a niche that is already "hot", then you are basically just setting up a business that won't be profitable until your grandchildren graduate for college!
