I Am My Boss

Being your own boss is the dream of many individuals.
The person who dares to undertake and operate a new business and is responsible for all the risks is known as an entrepreneur.
The founders of these businesses all have something in common.
It is initiative to accomplish something that was at one time, simply a dream or an idea and turning it into a business.
The people who are willing to give their all in order to develop a business are the entrepreneurs who are successful.
Sometimes this means working consistent 16 and 18 hour days.
It means taking up the slack when others do not complete their tasks.
Meeting deadlines, continuing production no matter what problems may occur, all this is part of being an entrepreneur.
The down side of being your own boss is that as owner, the buck stops with you.
You are ultimately responsible for the total business, from taking the trash out to meeting the expectations of clients or customers.
All of the responsibility rests on your shoulders.
All this being said, being an entrepreneur also means you take all the risks involved in establishing a business, and you get all the credit, in fact the credit and the blame are equally yours.
Being your own boss brings its own excitement and thrills.
The road is tough and teaches you to be very creative to solve the different challenges that confront you.
Once you have chosen to become an entrepreneur, you will be accountable in all phases that your business will go through as you become established and hopefully successful.
Strong will and determination are just not enough these days to make it in business.
You have to have a knack for taking a bad situation and turning it into an advantage.
The challenges of business are opportunities to discover a better way of doing things; after all, necessity is the mother of invention.
The absolutely incredible opportunities that come through networking, doing business honestly and with the intent of truly serving your clients, customers and the community you live in are assets in your business that are priceless.
Every business owner can tell you that when you first open the doors life is fraught with "what ifs", but perseverance and determination along with hard work will roll your business along and in the end, show you a profit.
