If you're a woman poker player, there are books, magazines & web sites aimed just at you that are well worth looking into, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro. Here are a few.

1. Women's Poker Club

This web site is by women poker players, for women poker players. It has tons of fabulous resources, including a section just for players with less than six months of experience called "Fresh Poker Faces" as well as articles for all levels. The highlight of the site, though are the great forums and a community of dedicated, supportive women who understand the unique experiences women have at the felt. They also organize events for members which I've attended both online and in real life which are great.More »

While not a "how-to" for women, I found Annie Duke's autobiography a great read and a great inspiration as a woman player. From her early pre-poker days to how her brother Howard Lederer encouraged her to start playing, to the play-by-play excitement of Annie's battle for a World Series of Poker bracelet, I was riveted, entertained, and educated.More »
