• You can find many previously owned movies on VHS online at sites such as eBay and Half.com. These sites allow sellers to place VHS movies for sale online and let buyers purchase used movies securely using the PayPal payment system. You can search by title, actor, or keyword for VHS movies. Other online vendors for used VHS movies include used bookseller Alibris.com and movie rental house Blockbuster. You can also still buy some films new in VHS format, particularly educational and children's movies. Moviesunlimited.com and Tcm.com offer a number of movies on VHS, although stock may be limited. Amazon.com carries a large selection educational and kids' videos on VHS.
  
  

Yard and garage sales

• Scout yard and garage sales in your area; many people will sell old VHS tapes as they replace their collections with newer media. Ask the seller about the condition of the tape when you buy; older tapes may have tracking issues or other problems caused by age or extensive use.
  
  

Library sales

• Libraries frequently hold book and used-media sales in which VHS tapes are sold. In some library systems, being a cardholder or member of the "Friends of the Library" program will get you early entrance to library sales or warehouses. Libraries generally have not only movies released in the theater but also educational and children's programs, miniseries and nonfiction programs on VHS that they are slowly replacing with other media.
  
  

Goodwill and other shops

• Goodwill, the Salvation Army and other charity stores often get VHS movies in to sell. Check back with each store every week or two, or leave your name and contact information with the manager to call you when they get in VHS tapes. Used movie, CD and game-trading shops also sometimes carry VHS movies in addition to the use DVDs they deal in.
