How to Fix a Garden Hose Connector
- 1). Drain the garden hose of all water by holding one end up high and stretching the hose the entire length to ensure all water flows out the opposite end.
- 2). Use a sharp knife to cut the garden hose one-half inch below the connector end.
- 3). Slide the new connector end onto the garden hose 2 inches past the end of the hose. Tighten the connector using a screwdriver. The connectors are equipped with a clamp and screw to allow you to secure it into place on the hose.
- 4). Insert the washer, which is also included with the connector, down into the connector piece. The washer should lay flat against the hose.
- 5). Connect the garden hose to the faucet and your hose is now ready to be used.
