Vinegar

• 1). Dilute 1 cup of vinegar with 1 gallon of cool water. Dampen a sponge mop in the diluted vinegar.
  
  
• 2). Set the sponge mop head against the area of the floor farthest away from the entrance. Move the damp sponge mop back and forth while making your way toward the entrance.
  
  
• 3). Rinse the sponge mop in the vinegar mixture when it becomes dirty. Wring the excess vinegar out of the sponge mop and continue mopping in the same manner as before.
  
  
• 4). Let the vinegar mixture air-dry on the floors.
  
  

Bleach

• 1). Wipe the floors with a dust mop to remove dust, dirt and other debris.
  
  
• 2). Fill a bucket with 1 gallon of cold water and add 1 cup of either chlorine bleach or oxygen bleach. Oxygen bleach is all-natural and will not discolor or damage surfaces as chlorine bleach will.
  
  
• 3). Dampen a mop head in the bleach mixture and begin mopping the floors. Start at the area of the room farthest away from the entrance and mop the floors while moving toward the entrance.
  
  
• 4). Rinse the bleach mixture off the floors with cool water and wipe dry with several towels.
  
  

Ammonia

• 1). Clean the floors with a dry dust mop to remove the surface debris. Repeat this step every other day to keep the floors free from dirt, dust and other debris.
  
  
• 2). Fill a plastic bucket with 1 gallon of cool water. Wear a pair of rubber gloves and add 1/4 cup of clear ammonia. Stir the ammonia and water with a spoon.
  
  
• 3). Submerge a mop in the ammonia mixture and wring out the excess cleaning solution. Mop in a back-and-forth motion until you have thoroughly cleaned the floors.
  
  
• 4). Rinse the ammonia off the floors with cool water. Wipe the excess moisture off the floors with a towel.
