Lavender & Ivory Wedding Ideas

    Invitations

    • The invitation is the first impression of your wedding that guests will receive. Maintain consistency in the color theme of your wedding by making your invitations adhere to it. Consider an invitation on ivory paper with lavender writing. You can put a graphic illustration of a lavender bouquet somewhere on the invitation. If you have a larger budget, tie a small piece of lavender to each invitation. The invitation will smell as beautiful as it looks.

    Flowers and Centerpieces

    • Lavender and ivory lend themselves naturally to ideas for flowers at your wedding. Place bouquets of ivory-colored roses mixed in with lavender on each table. Another idea is to place bowls of dried lavender around the room. The smell is intoxicating and it will look especially nice on ivory table cloths. Finally, consider using some lavender-colored flowers to accentuate the bride's bouquet. Place the light purple flowers among the white or ivory flowers to give it consistency with the overall theme.

    Outfits

    • Little is as carefully coordinated in a wedding as the outfits of the wedding party. To go along with a white or ivory wedding dress, have the bridesmaids all wear lavender dresses. To tie it all together, make sure the bride wears some lavender in her hair. On the men's side, consider putting a lavender pocket square in the suits of the groom and his groomsmen.

    Food

    • There is no reason why food has to be exempted from the color scheme of a wedding. One easy trick is to make cupcakes with lavender-colored icing. Put these everywhere on the dessert table. You can also have a wedding cake made that is ivory instead of the traditional white. Have a large lavender-colored flower made of icing put on the cake.
