File Format

• E-books come in a variety of file formats, including PDF, PDB, AZW and LIT. File format is important because it must be compatible with the device you want to use. PDF files can be opened on most home computers and some handheld devices, but AZW files are specific to the Amazon Kindle, and conversion software is required to open e-books in other formats.
