The Four Spiritual Laws
First
God loves you and offers a wonderful plan for your life. (John 3:16, John 10:10)
This law means that almighty God loves the world, proved it by giving his son for the salvation of humankind, and will bring you happiness if you follow a righteous path.
Second
Humanity is sinful and separated from God. Therefore, a person cannot know and experience God's love and plan for his life. (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23)
This law means that although people were created to have a fellowship with God, they have broken that fellowship and gone their own way, living in sin. People try to reach God through, say, philosophy or living a good life, but find they cannot because of their sins. As a result, a gulf emerges between people and God, which people cannot bridge on their own.
Third
Jesus Christ is God's only provision for man's sin. Through him you can know and experience God's love and plan for your life. (Romans 5:8, I Corinthians 15:3-6, John 14:6)
God sent his son Jesus Christ to die on the cross in people's place to pay the penalty for their sins. Thus he bridged the gulf of sin that separated people from God.
Fourth
We must individually receive Jesus Christ as savior and lord; then we can know and experience God's love and plan for our lives. (John 1:12, Ephesians 2:8,9, John 3:1~8, Revelation 3:20)
People need to invite Jesus Christ into their lives, not only intellectually and emotionally, but also by faith, recognizing him as their lord and savior. If people put Christ at the center of their lives and yield to his will unconditionally, they link their interests with his and regain their lost fellowship with God.
