How to Clean Unsealed Limestone

    • 1). Sweep the unsealed limestone with a broom to remove surface grime. For limestone used indoors, vacuum the stone to extract embedded dirt.

    • 2). Pour a dab of neutral cleaner, or about two drops, into a 1 gallon bucket. Fill the bucket with warm water.

    • 3). Moisten a rag or mop in the neutral cleaner solution. Wipe or mop the limestone with the solution, clearing off all grime.

    • 4). Rinse out the bucket and add fresh water. Flush the soapy limestone with the water using the mop or a fresh rag. Thoroughly rinse the limestone surface.

    • 5). Dry the limestone with a clean towel.
