The Stokke Sleepi system is different just about every way you look at it.
This is a system that you can place your newborn in and he can still be using it when he's a teenager! Its final configuration is a junior size bed but when your child has outgrown that it can even be converted into two chairs to put in his room or just about anywhere else because they are so cool looking.
You start out with the Stokke Sleepi Mini for your newborn.
This is a very unusual crib or bassinet because the mattress and the crib is circular.
The mattress starts out at its very top configuration so there's no bending over, and it can be kept by your bed and will be pretty much on the same level for convenience.
As your baby grows the Stokke System grows with him.
Buy a small kit and the round bassinet turns into an oblong bed, complete with safety rails all the way around, and by this point you can move the mattress down one or two levels.
When eventually you are confidence that he isn't going to roll out of bed and hurt himself, then you can remove one set of side rails and he'll be able to get in and out of bed on his own.
The sleep system eventually will have the mattress set low and becomes a junior bed suitable for kids up to about 10 years old.
