Human beings suffer a lot of awkward diseases.
Warts are also such form of disease which generally appears on the skin on any part of the body.
They vary in shape and size; such odd growths first appear like a spot and then grow on to become big lumps.
The basic reason behind these lumps is viral infection.
Usually they come out on the face, neck, underarms but it gets worse when it erupts on the genitals, in the urethra, bladder, and rectum and even inside the mouth.
Genital warts are spread through sexual contact especially in case of people who have multiple sexual partners or those who do not have the habit of practicing safe sex.
They are portrayed by different medical experts as even or uneven, cauliflower like lumps surfacing on or around the genitals or the rectum.
These infections are kind of STD virus which gives a potential sign of a weak immunity system.
In that case, condoms can act as a barrier against genital warts and other STDs like gonorrhea, syphilis and herpes.
There is no specific treatment for this disease, sometimes they get cured without any medication but those growing on the genitals, or around fingernails, on the palms and soles require acute treatment.
Proper medical supervision should be given to people who are suffering from this disease.
To trace the presence of this ailment the doctor will carry out some tests, if the condition is in the initial stage then some mild ointment will be prescribed along with some oral treatments but if the condition is out of control, then surgery is the only savior for the patient.
At times it is difficult to get rid of these lumps even after proper medication.
In case of children and young people these lumps generally get cured in a few months but lasts for several months or years or even life long for some adults.
In such a situation this disease keeps on disappearing and resurfacing on their skin all their life.
Sometimes they get enlarged and spread on the hands or around the fingers or any part of the body.
Planter warts are known to grow on the soles, slightly inward unlike other lumps that grow outward.
This form of skin disease is highly contagious and spreads very rapidly due to scratching, shaving, biting, picking or even just touching the infected parts, unlike genitals warts which spreads during unhygienic sexual encounters.
These lumps can be only seen after two or four weeks of infection and in some cases they do not show any signs for several months.
The areas of infection in men and women differs a lot, in case of men the disease appears on the penis or under the foreskin and for women, the most prone areas include the vulva lip, inside the vagina or by the urethra.
A common area is the anal canal.
Their presence can not be ruled out with the naked eyes but can be felt by their itching and burning sensation which they create.
So it is important to lead a healthy lifestyle, with proper exercise and diet in order to avoid these unwanted skin ailments.
Other than that, being healthy and hygienic is of utmost importance.
Get regular check ups are also important to keep a track whether you are getting affected by this disease or not.
