Holiday travel with the family is usually a stressful time for parents and children alike.
Preparing for the trip, shopping for tickets, asking for time off work, making sure you have everything you need packed away securely is just the beginning.
Children are usually excited about going to see Grandparents, family, and friends.
Parents are usually happy but can be a little put off from visiting relatives that they have spent most of their lives trying to get away from.
So to make matters worse anxiety levels can peak and turn into outrage if you feel the TSA screening process is too intrusive.
The news, popular Blogs, and talk radio shows are highlighting this very phenomenon adding to the pressures of whether you should OPT out of the Naked (radiation emitting) Body Scanners or be physically violated by a TSA screening person who is using the excuse of "I am Just doing my Job" or "You gave up your rights when you decided to fly".
Follow these 3 techniques to keep your Stress Levels down and keep your Immune System functioning at Full Strength: 1.
Do a Little Up Front Research.
If you have not flown in a while then the first step is to find out if the airport you are flying out of even has the Full Body Scanners or enhanced pat down procedures.
If your airport is one of the 60 or so that are using the updated procedures go to the TSA website and see what they are and get educated on the process.
Go to the airport website and see if they offer information on the procedures.
Knowledge is power and you can determine what type of mindset you will need when you get to the airport screening area.
2.
Pick Your Battles.
If you are with your family heading to Grandma's or Grandpa's house you may not what to confront the TSA screening process head on.
Doing so would most likely bring that added stress that can lower your immune system making for the possibility of an illness to creep in during your vacation time.
If you are single or traveling alone with extra time you have the opportunity to confront the TSA and their updated screening process.
I recommend having a small copy of the US Constitution, Bill or Rights or memorizing key civil rights historical facts that you can use to shoot down any nonsense the TSA my use to justify what they are doing to free American Citizens.
Use as many non-violent weapons as possible to include your cell phone camera or audio recording device, the more evidence you have of the TSA injustice the better.
3.
Empower Yourself.
Remember if you are an American Citizen and pay your Taxes the TSA and all other Government agencies work for you.
The US Constitution provides you with specific rights giving to you by God.
For example, You are Innocent until proven guilty not the other way around.
If you feel that you and your family were treated inappropriately do something about it and start a letter writing campaign voicing your concern to the Airport where the violation occurred, to the Airline you flew out on, the Transportation Security Agency, your local county and city officials, and finally to your State Representatives in the US Congress.
Don't stop with just letters pick up the phone and send emails as well.
The power is with the people and with all the backlash on the news and Senate hearings on the topic; we as American Citizens are making a stand to reverse an injustice that is violating our God giving rights as human beings.
Finally, be sure to write or call your member of Congress and asking him or her to co-sponsor Ron Paul's bill HR 6416, the American Traveler Dignity Act of 2010.
