    • 1). Cut a circle from a piece of cardstock using a pair of scissors. The circle can be anywhere between 3 to 6 inches in diameter.

    • 2). Fold a piece of gold paper in half, and trace one of the circles onto the back of the gold paper.

    • 3). Leave the paper folded in half and use the scissors to cut out out the circle you traced onto the paper, which will give you two circles of the same size.

    • 4). Glue each of the circles you cut from the gold paper onto either side of the circular piece of cardstock, with the gold side facing outwards.

    • 5). Repeat the previous steps until you have about 20 circles covered in gold paper. You can either make the circles all the same size or use a variety of sizes of circles to create a modern look.

    • 6). Thread your needle with a thick piece of thread. Coat thread is more durable and works well for this project.

    • 7). Pass the needle and thread through a gold bead. You do not need to cut the strand of thread yet, you can do this at the end of the project.

    • 8). Thread the circle onto your string by passing the needle back and forth through the middle of the paper circle across its diameter.

    • 9). String a second gold bead onto your string by passing the needle through the center of the bead.

    • 10

Stitch the second gold circle onto the thread using the same process as Step 8, and follow this by adding a bead.

    • 11

Repeat this until you have sewn all of the paper circles onto the string, and end your paper garland with a golden bead.

Tie a knot in the end of the string, and cut the thread from your spool. Tie a knot at the other end of the string, and lay your garland down the center of your table.
