The Economy - Excuse Me For Gloating

Most business people and citizens are so busy complaining about the economy they are missing the obvious opportunities that are all around them.
It's too bad they cannot see the great potential staring them in the face.
Over the years, we've all watched the economy go up and down.
Sometimes the business cycles are hidden a bit due to other world events; it causes folks look the other way, blame the economy on other things.
Yes, sometimes the business cycle bottoms are shallowed out due to events, government policy and factors beyond the control of mankind, and sometimes the up-cycles are not so obvious or they are exaggerated by a bubble in one or more sectors.
The economy will go up and down no matter what, it will never remain flat, just like a river never runs straight.
Politicians will use the natural business cycle to push their agendas, take credit for the up cycles, claiming its their wonderful and strategic policies that made it all happen, but in the end most of this is nothing more than a created reality.
Unfortunately, their created realities do move consumer confidence, along with media headlines, which now seems to move the economy by about a third.
If the media makes the people believe the economy is bad, it moves negative, if the people think it is good it moves positive, while on its normal ebb and flow trajectory.
Now mind you, if you sit back and analyze all this from afar over a 30-year period, you will see it all too.
However most people don't; why? They are so caught up in all the sound and fury they never seem to get it.
After running a business and watching all this manipulation, game playing, politics and mass media hysteria for some 27-years before early retirement, it seems so obvious to me.
And, it probably does no good to tell you; I told you so.
But, I did, too bad you were not listening, because here we go again.
