Buying a back pack for a child can be a hard choice.
You want to choose something which your child will like, but you don't want it to be fade from popularity as quickly as it rose, so be wary of choosing any thing which is based on a character or theme which they could grow out of.
Below are 3 tips for choosing a kids back pack.
They should produce a back pack which you child will be proud of, enjoy wearing, and which you will be happy with.
1.
Don't Go For Anything Too Fancy - A plain back pack is the most versatile and usually easy to make into a successful purchase.
Buying plain means that you can spend a rainy afternoon decorating it with badges and key rings.
Some how, (probably from parties) children collect badges and key rings - personalizing a bag is a great way to use these.
This will also produce a bag which is easily identifiable.
2.
Choose The Size Carefully - If you get a bag which is too small your child will feel short changed compared to their friends.
Small back packs also cause valuable work to be damaged on the way to or from school and this can lead to serious tears.
Equally a bag which is too big will get too heavy and your child will whine all the way home or until you succumb and carry it for them! 3.
Spending Enough And Not Too Much - How much you spend is quite crucial.
Firstly you want the quality to be reasonable, so don't go too cheap.
But you don't want to spend to much as it will get pretty battered going to and from school and consequently will need to be replaced every year.
Remember that downgrading can be difficult for a child to understand so don't start anything you aren't prepared to continue.
A great extra quality would be a washable bag.
Unfortunately these are quite hard to find.
Do be careful if you are thinking of taking your child to the shop with you - they may see something you don't want them to.
I have always found a useful tactic to buy the bag in advance and then to wrap it and give it as a reward for something.
Good luck and wishing you a successful shopping trip.
