How to Remove Annoying Clothing Tags & Labels
- 1). Find the culprit tag and identify the thread that is holding the tag in place. If the thread seems to be holding together your garment in some way, you will have to be much more careful in your tag extraction. This is sometimes the case with side tags.
- 2). Carefully slide the sharp pointy edge of the seam ripper between the tag and the garment, hooking the thread that holds together the tag and the garment.
- 3). Pull the seam ripper to the side, ripping only the thread and avoiding your garment.
- 4). Gently pull the tag away from the garment where you've ripped thread. This should reveal more thread waiting to be ripped. Use your seam ripper to tear those away too. Continue to make your way around the tag until the entire thing is free from your garment.
- 5). Pull away the ripped threads left in your garment. Cut any that refuse to be pulled gently.
