  Black Hills National Forest is a large wilderness area stretching between South Dakota and Wyoming. It is situated in the southwestern part of South Dakota. More than 1.25 million acres of land are thickly populated with ponderosa pine, aspen, bur oak and birch trees. The forest is managed by the United States Forest Service. Many restaurants and sports bars are positioned along the outskirts of the Black Hills area. Residents and visitors alike can enjoy a walk in the woods on a nice day, followed by a sports game on many of the televisions installed at area bars.

• Shooters Steakhouse & Sports Grill offers traditional bar fare with draft and bottled beers in a casual setting. The bar has 17 high-definition televisions installed to cover all major sporting events simultaneously. Chicken wings, prime rib, steak, seafood, and a wide variety of appetizers are available. The wings are available breaded or "naked" and may be served with five different flavors of sauce. Readers of the Rapid City Journal voted the chicken wings the best in the Black Hills. The sports bar is open at 11 a.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 10 a.m. on Sundays. Weeknights the bar closes at 11 p.m., but it stays open until midnight on weekends, and until 9 p.m. on Sundays.

• Boston's Restaurant & Sports Bar serves gourmet pizza, hamburgers, a wide variety of hearty salad entrees, pasta, steak, roasted fish and more. The restaurant has a family-style dining room in addition to the sports bar. The bar features seven televisions to cover all major sporting events. Customers may enroll in the "E-Club" program through the company's website to receive discounts for promotional periods through email. The bar closes at different hours depending on the completion times of sports games. Two happy hour periods are scheduled each day.
