What Is Best for Cleaning Marble Walls?
- Clean your marble walls with a neutral cleanser, such as dish soap or stone soap. Stone soap is specifically designed to clean stone surfaces, including marble walls, and is available from most home improvement stores.
- Mix together warm water and dish soap or stone soap in a plastic bucket. Dip a soft cloth into the mixture and rub across the surface of the marble. Dip a fresh cloth into clean water and use this to gently remove the soap from the marble.
- Never use acid-based cleansers on your marble surfaces, including vinegar or lemon juice. This can actually damage the marble and cause something known as "etching," which leaves behind permanent marks. Scouring powder is also deleterious to your marble walls.
