Side Effects

• The most common side effects while using Entocort are headache, flu, pneumonia, nausea, dizziness and indigestion. Side effects are normal and may require an adjustment period, if symptoms worsen then contact a physician.
  
  

Serious Side Effects

• Entocort has the potential of causing serious side effects that include hypertension (high blood pressure), edema (retention of fluid), severe constipation, increased infections and steroid toxicity. This is just a partial list of the side effects; contact a physician if abnormal symptoms are noticed.
  
  

Rare Side Effects

• Steroid toxicity is a serious but rare side effect from taking Entocort. Symptoms of steroid toxicity include acne, bruising easily, swollen face, increased hair growth and stretch marks. Seek medical attention immediately if these symptoms arise.
  
  

Drug Interactions

• Entocort has the potential to interact with other medications. Inform your physician if currently taking antibiotics, antifungals, protease inhibitors and if you are consuming grapefruits and/or grapefruit juice.
  
  

Precautions

• Entocort is a steroid medication and can suppress the immune system, which may increase your susceptibility to infections. Notify your physician if your currently being treated for glaucoma, high blood pressure, diabetes, osteoporosis, ulcers and liver disease.
