How to Mow Grass With a Reel Lawn Mower
- 1). Adjust the cutting blades so they are just brushing past the strike plate in the front. Do this by using a screwdriver and either tightening or loosening the two screws on both inner sides of the reel mower.
- 2). Set your reel mower to your desired cutting height. Push the tabs next to each wheel in, then move them either up or down to raise or lower the cutting blade.
- 3). Push your reel mower back and forth over your entire yard. Walk at a normal pace. The reel mower should be easy to push. If you meet resistance, readjust the cutting blades with the screws, as in Step 1.
