Valentine parties for children are filled with candy, cakes and sweets. Valentine Day may have love as its theme, but children want to see candy when that special day arrives each February. A Valentine party for children is not complete without games. With a little planning and a small budget, your next Valentine party games will bring a smile to every young face. - Hershey's Kisses are a popular Valentine Day candy. Chocolate and kisses are a great theme for any Valentine's party. A Valentine party game for kids is to buy a large glass cookie jar or vase at a dollar store and fill it with Hershey's Kisses. Have each child at the Valentine party write down their estimate of how many Kisses are in the container. The child that comes the closest to the correct number without going over wins the Kisses and the container. To give more of a reward for the game, you can also find three containers of varying sizes. Fill each of them with Kisses and award three prizes. Make sure that a child does not win more than one container to make the game fair.
- To play Hide The Hearts at your next Valentine party, cut hearts out of red construction paper. Be sure to cut enough hearts so the party guests can collect a significant number of them. Have the party guests gather in a room and close their eyes. Hide the construction paper hearts all around the house and then give the kids five minutes to find as many as they can. The child who collects the most hearts wins a prize. You can award prizes to the top three heart-collectors. You can also hide the hearts around the house before the party to make the game proceed more quickly.
- Valentine Family Feud is a game that is played with the girls against the boys at a Valentine party. If the party does not have an equal number of girls and boys, then you can just divide the group into two teams. The host of the game asks a question and one member of each team face off to see who can answer the question the quickest. Have two bells for each team member to ring, or just have them raise their hand. Once a team member correctly answers a question, then her team gets the chance to name the rest of the answers in each category. If a team gets three strikes and cannot answer a question, then the opposing team gets a chance to steal the points. Each category has five or seven answers with different point values for each answer. The most popular answer receives the highest point total. Questions for this game are available on the Internet or in a Family Feud board game. The winning team members get a prize for receiving the most points in the game.
