The days of chickens being killed in their coops by predators or having their eggs snatched should certainly be horror stories of the past in this day and age.

Then there would be some DIY involved either way as a readymade chicken coop would be delivered to you in flat pack and require you to assemble it anyway.
Now that we have established that building a home for your chickens is a far better option all round you will want to know that you can build your own a lot easier than you might think.
In fact again it really is the better option because of the choice and ease of step by step building plans and designs that are readily available to you.
Your chickens will produce better results and provide you with more produce the better that they are accommodated and looked after.
I know this goes without saying, but in some cases it seems to be overlooked.
Home made chicken coops are among some of the best in the world, and with chicken keeping rapidly on the up it is certainly the easiest and preferable option.
Not forgetting how important the chickens themselves are to us, they are currently producing what is being called as super food by some scientists and with good reason, so as well as making major savings on the cost of buying free range eggs we are also gaining some major nutrients that our bodies need as well as thrive on.
