Wedding cascade bouquet is popular and beautiful; it can also be very pricey if you order one from florist.
If you are particularly on a budget wedding, it is very necessary to save every penny for the more crucial needs.
So, instead of getting one from the overpriced florist, why don't you make your own cascading bouquet? What you need: For making a wedding cascade bouquet, you will need silk dogwood flowers, bouquet holder, floral wire, floral tape, wired ribbon, glue sticks, rose leaves or any kinds of greenery if you desire, scissors, and hot glue gun.
You should also need 4 soft touch orchid stems with 7 blooms on each stems.
Instructions: 1.
Start by pulling each flower off the stems to make three long trails of orchids.
The first trail should be long (about 10 blooms on one stem), while the other two are shorter (about 5 or 6 blooms).
As the flowers are fake, you can alternate between the dogwood flowers and orchids in one stem as you wish.
Here's how to make the stems: - Insert a 22 gauge wire into the flower stem which you have cut previously.
Push the wire to the base of the flower head where the petals rest.
- Insert a 28 gauge silver stub wire through the base of the flower at a right angle to the first wire.
Fold the wire down while holding onto the first wire.
- Secure the two halves of the silver wire to the first wire by twisting the silver wire around the 22 gauge wire.
Start from near the flower base to the end of the wires.
- Wrap the stem and wires with the floral tape.
- Do the process to all individual orchid, dogwood flower, and leaves (if you use them).
- Prepare a 19 gauge stay wire.
Tape each flower and leaf to the stay wire and bind them together to make three long trails of flower.
2.
Add orchid blooms to the bouquet holder and secure them with the hot glue gun.
Add also the dogwood flowers and rose leaves.
3.
Attach the orchid trails you have made previously to the bouquet holder with wire.
Place the longest stem in the center and the other shorter stems on each side of the long trail.
4.
Arrange the wired blooms outward for full effect.
5.
Cover the bouquet holder with ribbon.
Arrange to get your desired effect.
