Set the Time

• 1). Turn the dial on the Optima timer to the "Day/Clock" position. Press the up and down arrow keys to move the indicator symbol to the current day of the week. Press the right arrow key to confirm the selection. The hour numbers will now flash.
  
  
• 2). Press the up and down arrow keys to adjust the hour number to the current hour. Press the right arrow button to confirm the selection. The minute numbers will now flash.
  
  
• 3). Press the up and down arrow keys to select the correct minute numbers. Press the right arrow key to confirm.
  
  
• 4). Move the dial to "Auto."
  
  

Schedule Watering Days

• 1). Turn the dial to the "Water Day" position. The indicator symbol will point under "Sunday" and display either "On" or "Off."
  
  
• 2). Press the up and down arrow keys while the indicator symbol is pointing to Sunday to turn the sprinklers on or off. Then press the right arrow key to confirm the selection. The indicator light will move to the next day of the week.
  
  
• 3). Repeat the process to turn watering on or off for every day of the week.
  
  

Set the Time for Watering

• 1). Turn the dial to "Start Time." The indicator symbol will point to "A" and the default start time will be 8 a.m.
  
  
• 2). Press the up and down arrow keys to change the start time. Press the right arrow key to confirm the selection. The indicator light will go to "B," which represents the second daily watering cycle.
  
  
• 3). Move the up and down arrow keys to select "On" or "Off" for the second watering cycle. Then press the right arrow key to confirm. If "On" is selected, use the up and down arrow keys to select a time for the second watering schedule. Confirm time with right arrow button.
  
  
• 4). Repeat the process in Step 3 to set up or turn off a third watering cycle.
  
  
• 5). Turn the dial to "Auto."
