Everybody is hyped up with muscle building that quick results are expected.
Quick is not based just on time but most importantly in consistency.
And the fundamentals in muscle building are there to make sure consistent muscle growth is ensured.
The basics of body building are simple.
Absolutely not rocket science.
By understanding some common principles it is easier to identify between good advice and just sales talk.
Eat right There are two separate approaches to body building.
One is to gain weight fast (and therefore increase bulk) and to lose weight as well (tone up, burn fat).
For the first one, to get big is to eat big.
For the latter, eat just right and consider food content.
You may want to lose weight, but you also need food to facilitate for muscle growth.
In any direction you take, right food in right quantities matter.
Stay away from saturated fat (fast and fried foods), stay away from sugar and soda drinks, get close with protein (with the least fat content) and never miss fruits and vegetables.
These are simple reminders, but these are the foods we either like or despise.
But preference is not the judge.
It is nutrition.
Get the best work out There are thousands of exercises out there.
But only a few that can actually give you significant gains in muscle building.
Some examples of these are squats, bench press, use of deadweights and military press.
These compound exercises are good as it works out many muscles all at the same time.
Cutting you time and allocating that to diversifying routines.
To maximize work outs, consider progressively overloading your muscles.
By doing so you are convincing your body to build more bulk as the need for it is always pushed forward.
Also consider intensity.
Without it, you cannot efficiently overload your body.
Get some sleep Muscles are made not in the gym but in your bed.
When your body is not doing anything, the torn muscles from the intense workout get repaired.
Only in this process muscles are strengthened and increase in size.
Ignore this and you run the risk of over training.
Then you might as well stay at home and eat pizza.
