A part of Rajasthan that is popular for its natural beauty as well as flora and fauna, the Bharatpur hotels prove to be great hosts for tourists who visit this paradise in the desert that is blessed by Mother Nature in abundance. The Bird Sanctuary at the Keoladeo National Park attracts wildlife enthusiasts from all over the Indian subcontinent as well as from across the globe and isn't the city's only claim to fame either. The National Park has been recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is hence well known to foreign tourists as well.

The entire forest area here was once a favorite with the Maharajas and other members of the royalty here as a duck hunting paradise. The bloody ordeal that the birds here had to undergo finally ended in the year 1956 when the birds were declared as protected and hunting was outlawed. First declared a reserve and then a National Park, Keoladeo is now home to more than 375 different species of the most beautiful birds. Apart from the birds that color the sky in myriad colors at intervals, there are also different animals such as the Black Buck, the Nilgai, the Sambhar or the Indian Antelope as it also known as, and the Spotted Deer present in the park. Pythons too are found here with ease and make for a great sight as well as majestic photographs while basking in the sun.

Apart from plenty of attractions for wildlife enthusiasts and bird lovers, there are also other facets of Bharatpur that are present to entertain tourists, and the staff at the Bharatpur hotels are the best guides when it comes to exploring all that is on offer. Another trend that is seen here is that tourists who visit Agra also drop in here to see all that the city and its surrounding has to offer, especially since both cities are only a little more than fifty kilometers away from each other. The vice versa is true too. The hotels here are therefore quite accustomed to overnight guests who drop in from Agra early in the morning, visit the Keoladeo National Park and other places, spend a night in the hotels here, and then return to the home of the Taj Mahal.

Apart from the name Bharatpur, the name of Lohagarh too is attributed to the city and this is mainly because of the Lohagarh Fort that is recognized as among the strongest fort in the country. The British are known to have laid siege to the fort for more than six weeks and yet failed to conquer it, and nor did other rulers during the course of history. These and many other stories can be savored while spending time at the Bharatpur hotels.
