3 Ways to Test a Psychic Medium (WITHOUT Spilling the Beans)
If you are serious about psychic readings, you should be SUPER serious about testing or authenticating the information that comes through.
It's always befuddled me how so many people are SO eager to trust and believe the information that comes through, that they fail to apply common sense, or try to understand how easily much of the "insight" they've been offered is to guess. (No psychic skill required)!
Here is the thing -
I've spend almost 2 decades of my life studying psychics of all kinds. And when it comes to belief, and trust that the abilities are true, there is NO bigger believer than me. (Simply because I've had far too many personal experiences where overwhelming evidence has been offered that would have been impossible to guess or know without some sort of paranormal explanation).
And yet...
I can still honestly say that 80% of the readings I've gotten in my lifetime had NO psychic component to them at all. (The readers either were making it up, guessing, playing word games, cold reading, applying statistics to make predictions, or simply were occasionally lucky as well!)
And because of that, even though I'm a true blue believer and psychic junkie through and through, I have the "luxury" of being a little bit snobby when it comes to rating or judging the experiences of others as a result.
Here are the 3 easiest ways to test a psychic, and to make sure you are being open minded an honest, but NOT so much so that you are being gullible as a result.
1 - Write down 3, 5 or even 7 questions before the reading begins that you INSIST on asking. Also write down specific circumstances that apply to each. Be as detailed as possible, keep it UNDER one page, and if you can, even write down what you would consider to be "evidence" that would satisfy you if it was revealed in a reading. (For example - "x" recently passed away, her nickname for me was "y" and if the reader sees this, I'm going to count this as VERY meaningful).
2 - Tell the psychic or medium that you want to keep your answers short, and stay as close to "yes/no" replies as you possibly can. Unless it's actually imperative to elaborate, you should never go into too much detail with any of the important issues that you called or visited to get guidance on.
3 - Remove all cold reading cues. This means if possible, you should prefer phone readings over those that require you to be there face to face. If you MUST visit the psychic in person, ask if there is a way to separate your "sight lines" during the actual reading. (So he or she can't see your reactions to the reading, some psychics will offer a divider or curtain to facilitate this). In general, phone readings are preferable because they create a blinding element between the clairvoyant and the caller, and remove lots of the common "cheats" that psychics or mediums can use to get information.
Remember, a good psychic reading CAN change your life,a and what you believe is possible and that's a very exciting thing. But "keeping it real" is super important as well, as the simple tips above SHOULD help you if you care about authenticity as much as entertainment.
