How to Remove Burnt Stains
- 1). Fill the cookware with 1 qt. of water. Add 2 tbsp. of cream of tartar to the water.
- 2). Boil the mixture for 15 minutes to loosen the burnt-on stains.
- 3). Scrape the loosened food completely off the cookware using a wooden spoon.
- 4). Pour a drop of dish soap onto a nonabrasive sponge. Saturate the soapy sponge with warm water. Wash the cookware with the soapy sponge to clean off any lingering burnt residue.
- 5). Rinse the cookware with clean, warm water. Thoroughly dry the cookware with a towel.
- 1). Wait for the stove top to thoroughly cool.
- 2). Attempt to scrape the burnt food off the stove using a wooden spoon. Scrape off as much as possible.
- 3). In a cup, mix together 1/4 cup of warm water with 1/4 cup of baking soda.
- 4). Scoop the paste onto a dishcloth. Scrub the dishcloth and paste over the burnt residue to remove it.
- 5). Rinse the stove top with a second dishcloth saturated with clean water. Dry the stove top with a towel.
