    • 1). Trace around a child's hand to create a petal temple with the pencil on the red tissue paper.

    • 2). Cut out 20 petals of red tissue paper

    • 3). Cut a piece of wire to measure at least 8 inches.

    • 4). Place one tissue petal next to the wire, 1/4 inch from the top end of the wire.

    • 5). Cut a 2-foot length of floral tape. Place the tape around the bottom of the petal, twirling the wire and completely covering the petal bottom while attaching it to the wire.

    • 6). Fold the petal over the wire to create the flower's center while attaching the top edge with the floral tape.

    • 7). Add a second petal, attaching the bottom edge with the floral tape while twirling the wire.

    • 8). Repeat, adding petals and building up the flower with petals, attaching the bottom edge of each petal with floral wire.

    • 9). Cut out several 2-inch-long oval leaf shapes from the green tissue paper.

      Twirl the wire beneath the flower while encompassing the entire length of wire with floral tape. Add leaf-shaped pieces of tissue paper down the length of the wire by encompassing the leaf ends in the floral tape.
