How to Clean Tips for Cookie Sheets
- 1). Place the cookie sheet on a towel or potholder and allow it to cool completely before you begin cleaning.
- 2). Wash the cookie sheet with a sponge or dishcloth in a sink full of hot, soapy water.
- 3). Rinse the cookie sheet in clean water. If the pan looks and feels clean after rinsing, dry it and put it away for later use. Otherwise, proceed to the next step.
- 4). Wet dryer sheets in warm water and place them on the cookie sheet to completely cover the baking surface. Wait 15 minutes and wash the cookie sheet again. If the cookie sheet is still dirty, proceed to the next step.
- 5). Spray oven cleaner onto the cookie sheet and allow it to rest for 15 minutes. Wear gloves when using oven cleaner as the cleaner may cause skin irritation.
- 6). Wipe away the oven cleaner with paper towels.
- 7). Wash the cookie sheet thoroughly with soapy water to remove all traces of the oven cleaner.
- 8). Rinse and dry the cookie sheet when you are certain that all of the oven cleaner has been removed.
