Places To Perform

There are many places we like to perform and strut our stuff as we show off to others exactly who we are and what we're about. Here are a few common arenas for those identity-defining moments.

On Stage

Many of us like to act out our dreams in front of larger audiences but for others the stage is exactly where we can stand out from the crowd. Whether you are in a school play, amateur dramatics or a west end musical there's no doubt that you can get a massive buzz from remembering a few lines or moves and delivering them in a convincing manner.

Whatever you do on stage - whether it's acting, singing, dancing or playing a musical instrument you know you are certain to get a round of applause and for many that is enough to make a daunting challenge worthwhile.

On A Sports Field

Everyone has to play sport at one time at another during their lives, whether it's for their school for their country at the Olympics with the eyes of the world on them. In many sports it's a much riskier process than going on stage, as your opponent or opposition could be capable of humiliating you, suggesting that your abilities are so inadequate that you shouldn't be there at all, and at the end of the day, there has to be a winner and a loser.

The joy of being that winner, however, of overcoming those that have more talent or ability than you simply through concentration, dedication and a little luck is one that is hard to match anywhere else. There are many great arenas around the world where we have the opportunity to watch someone excel at a sport, safe in the knowledge that nobody can be sure exactly what will happen next.

In A Wedding Marque

Many people hate giving speeches, but being the best man at a wedding in a beautiful marque can be one of the most liberating moments of someone's life. While everyone around hushes to listen to you trying to deliver a few jokes you also need to strike a balance with being sincere in your admiration for the groom and his new wife.

As you can see there are plenty of different environments where we get to perform - where do you think you'll get the chance to so in front of an audience next?
