James Bond Theme

• The fictional James Bond spent quite a bit of time working the tables of casinos. This dashing character would make the perfect theme for an adult party. Send out invitations assigning each of your guests a number. You can be James Bond, spy number 007. If you're a lady, you could play the role of "M," the director of the special agents. Let your guests be other numbers. Have plenty of cards and poker chips for the event. Decorate potted trees with white Christmas lights. Drape crepe and hang balloons in red, green and white. Cover tables with black felt. Have guests come looking a little dressy. Serve finger foods and martinis. Shaken, of course.
  
  

Queen Of Hearts

• For an all-girls poker night, give your party a Queen of Hearts theme. Girls like poker too, so have plenty of cards and chips ready. Instead of black felt, roll out lots of red for this party. Red balloons, red Christmas lights and, of course, lots of heart decorations. Find a Queen of Hearts poster to hang somewhere in your party area. You could slip a queen of hearts playing card into your invitations. Ask everyone to come dressed as a queen, or to wear their favorite red dresses. Money Honey

• This casino idea will take you back to the 1920s. Throw a flapper-style casino party with lots of gangster fun. Send out invitations to your "Money Honey" casino night. Include a little feather in the invitation. Have guests dress in the style of the '20s. Have a card table or tables set up with everything guests need to play blackjack. Provide lots of play money for guests to "spend." Use dollar bill-type decorations with some flapper touches. Art deco was a popular look of the era, so use black, white and green. Play Al Jolson or hot jazz music and encourage guests to dance.
