The Sacrilege of Eating Animals
One of the Ten Commandments states "Thou shall not kill.
" According to the Bible, in the beginning humans and animals were plant and fruit eaters and in the first chapter of the first book of the Bible, Genesis 1:29 the first humans are told by God: "Behold I have given you every herb bearing seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed, to you it shall be for meat.
And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
" So obviously somebody got the translation of the texts wrong and instead of being a plant and fruit eating earth as was Gods' will, it now became flesh eating.
Read the text where it says I have given every green herb for meat it does not include every beast or fowl as meat, it says green herb which means all life on earth should be on a plant and fruit diet.
When you kill or cause others to kill for you in order for your desire to eat meat you incur a karmic debt which eventually will have to be repaid.
By continuing to eat meat you condemn the next animal to be slaughtered to satisfy consumer demand.
