What do I mean by digging deep? How do you mine your online niche? Digging and mining both sound like hard work; but I guess that depends on how you define those terms.
If you expect to find nuggets of online information about your niche just lying there on the Internet, waiting for you to stumble onto them, then digging and mining will feel like work.
But, if you recognize that the vein of ore that you seek is buried and protected in the rock, then it won't surprise you that you have to dig, and dig deep.
But the act of doing so will make what you find that much more valuable because it will not have been apparent to others.
Here are five strategies that you can use right now to learn more about your niche: 1.
You need to be clear in your own mind exactly what an ideal solution would look like.
I can tell you right now that it is rare to find the precise answer immediately.
But you will be able to find a very small part of it.
Eventually, you'll be able to piece together the answer that you're looking for.
The important thing is learn only enough to get started.
If you feel that you need more, you can do that later.
But don't let your learning stop you from doing everything else.
2.
Make sure that you only read information that's relevant to your questions.
It's important to build up an understanding of your business, but not to the extent that it prevents you from moving onto the next step.
When you're running an online business, you must keep the product developmentl, as well as the marketing ball, in the air simultaneously.

Schedule fixed breaks in your research.
If you're going to surf the Web, then set yourself a time limit, or use a timer to track yourself.
It's all too easy to blow a whole morning futzing on the web.
Take a brief break, and then get back to work.

Be sure that you have a very good reason for needing to know the information now.
Sometimes all it takes it to make a note of what you found and where, and then file it somewhere for when you actually need it.

Think about where you can find the information the fastes.
The Web may seem like the obvious choice, but it may take you longer to find it there than through another source.
