The HTC Wildfire with the power of a 528 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
The HTC Wildfire is powered by a 528 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor supporting 384 megabytes of random access memory allowing the user to seamlessly multi-task, using multiple applications at once. The handset has a powerful camera also, and many resourceful features through its applications and widgets.
The phone has HTC Sense user interface on top of its 2.1 (Eclair) Android operating system which is capable of offering not only multi-tasking between applications but also offering the user many other downloadable applications and widgets to personalise their phone along with the tailoring which they can do through the UI.
The Wildfire has 512 megabytes read only emory in addition to microSD card storage, offering up to 32 gigabytes of storage for music, media and downloaded applications and widgets added by the user. The 3.2 inch capacitive touch screen provides a vivid and seamless interface through which the user utilises this handset, and also has pinch to zoom capability.
The phones camera has 5 megapixel resolution and is autofocus with a flash. It is able to capture both photos and video which can both then be shared instantly with friends through Facebook, Twitter or the image sharing site Flickr, and YouTube for videos respectively. Alternatively, the user can seamlessly sync them to a compatible computer through the standards micro-USB 2.0 connection, which can also provide internet sharing.
The HTC Caller ID feature on this handset allows the user to see not only the contact name, photo and number when they call but also a birthday reminder an their latest Facebook status. The Friend Stream application shows the user further information on all contacts in their phone book, including their Facebook statuses and latest micro-blogs on Twitter.
The handset has an internal GPS antenna and digital compass which provide the hardware to support the preinstalled Google Maps application which offers full maps, directions and local sites from Google. This is in addition to HTC Footprints which also offers simple route planning, views, local points of interest as well as turn-by-turn navigation for the user.
