Stopping heartburn naturally doesn't get much better than that.
Still on the subject of food, your portion size can affect whether you get heartburn.
When you eat too much at a time, your body doesn't get a chance to pre-digest food before it reaches your stomach.
This means that your stomach has to work overtime, and this can lead to excessive amount of stomach acid being produced, and thus heartburn.
